Charity Highlight - MusiCares

During the month of November, I am going to be highlighting different charities that are involved somehow with music.

The next charity I want to highlight is MusiCares. Established in 1989 by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, MusiCares was created to aid musicians who may feel that they have nowhere to turn when confronted with a financial, personal, or medical crisis. MusiCares consistently partners with other outstanding artists and organizations, like Faith Family Medical Clinic, Actors Fund, Bohemian Foundation, and many more to help them provide the most thorough assistance possible.

Christmas Music for Guitar

It seems each year as if I have a hard time finding Christmas music for my guitar students. Short of just handing them some lyrics with some chords, I usually find myself arranging a song for them.

So, to help out those of you who are looking for Christmas music for your guitar students, I am giving away a simple version of Silent Night. Just fill out the information in the order form, and I will send you a pdf of the music.

Charity Highlight - Music Fund

During the month of November, I am going to be highlighting different charities that are involved somehow with music.

The next charity I want to highlight is the Music Fund. Music Fund is a humanitarian project that supports musicians and music schools in conflict areas and developing countries. Music Fund collects instruments, repairs them, and gives them a second life in 16 projects in Africa, the Middle East, and Central America. They also train instrument repairers and offer the exchange of teaching skills.

Charity Highlight - Musicians Foundation

During the month of November, I am going to be highlighting different charities that are involved somehow with music.

The next charity I want to highlight is the Musicians Foundation. Musicians Foundation is committed to the singular mission of providing critical and life-changing financial assistance to professionals in the music industry. They don’t incur costs running other programs or services. Giving musicians the funds they need to pursue their art is all that this foundation does.

Charity Highlight - Sweet Relief Musicians Fund

During the month of November I am going to be highlighting different charities that are involved somehow with music.

The next charity I want to highlight is the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund. Sweet Relief Musicians Fund provides financial assistance to all types of career musicians and music industry workers who are struggling to make ends meet while facing physical or mental health issues, disability, or age-related problems.

Charity Highlight - T.J. Martell Foundation

During the month of November I am going to be highlighting different charities that are involved somehow with music.

The first charity I want to highlight is the T.J. Martell Foundation. Help those in need. The T.J. Martell Foundation funds top hospitals with a focus on early-stage cancer research that will lead to clinical trials and drug discoveries. Their board of trustees is made up of a team of elected leaders in the music industry who help guide their mission and ensure they are collectively seeking the best interest in raising money for cancer research.
