During the month of November I am going to be highlighting different charities that are involved somehow with music.
The first charity I want to highlight is Musicians Without Borders. Musicians Without Borders was founded in 1999 and has done work in Europe, Central Eastern Asia, and Central America. They work with local musicians and organizations to build sustainable programs around the world. They use music as a tool to build connections, foster empathy and shape communities. Studies have shown that music is a powerful tool that can influence behavior, shape culture and strengthen social bonds. They use music as a means to address the needs of societies divided and affected by conflict.
